Three engagements, each designed for a specific moment in your AI governance journey. Each delivers something your board, your legal team, and your regulator can rely on — built from architectural evidence.
Fixed scope · Delivered as a signed Architecture Decision Record
Before you can govern your AI systems, you need a complete and accurate picture of them — including the ones you did not commission, the ones embedded in vendor platforms, and the ones teams deployed without a formal sign-off.
The Architecture Review is a fixed-scope engagement. We examine your AI systems directly — data flows, decision logic, human oversight mechanisms, vendor integrations, and audit trail structures — across your entire AI footprint. Every system in scope is mapped against applicable regulatory frameworks: EU AI Act, UK AI Framework, Canada AIDA, Singapore IMDA, and others relevant to your markets.
The deliverable is a signed Architecture Decision Record — a formal document produced by a certified enterprise AI architect, suitable for board presentation, legal review, and regulatory reference.
Your organisation has AI systems in production — including AI embedded in vendor platforms and tools deployed by teams outside central IT — and needs a credible, complete assessment of your regulatory exposure. Typical clients are CCOs, General Counsels, and CTOs at European mid-to-large enterprises preparing for regulatory scrutiny, board governance reviews, or M&A due diligence.
Project engagement · Production-ready architecture
The organisations that win with AI are the ones where governance enables deployment — where compliance is a structural property of the system, engineering ships with confidence, and the audit trail generates itself.
This is Data Domine's flagship engagement. We design or redesign your high-risk AI systems from the architecture up — working directly with your engineering leadership and product teams on Google Cloud and Vertex AI. Regulatory obligations are encoded as structural constraints at every layer: explainability at inference time using SHAP and GCP Explainable AI, human-in-the-loop checkpoints designed as enforced state machine nodes, immutable audit logs as a natural by-product of normal operations, and data governance embedded into the write path.
For agentic and multi-agent systems, we design the human oversight architecture that enforces accountability at every autonomous decision boundary — giving engineering the speed they need and legal the certainty they require.
You are deploying or operating high-risk AI systems in regulated industries — healthcare, financial services, insurance, public sector — or building agentic AI capabilities where autonomous decision-making requires structural accountability. Equally suited to boutique GCP partners in DACH and Benelux who need a senior AI architect to lead compliance architecture on enterprise client engagements.
Ongoing · Monthly · Scales with your AI portfolio
AI governance is a continuous discipline. Regulatory guidance evolves. New systems enter production. Vendors update their models. The organisations that stay ahead are the ones with architectural oversight built into how they operate — every month.
The AI Governance Retainer gives your organisation a senior AI architect — available monthly — whose focus is the continued structural soundness of your AI governance posture. New deployments are reviewed before they go live. Vendor changes are assessed for architectural and regulatory impact. Shadow AI surfaced through internal monitoring gets classified and mapped. Your leadership team receives a clear, board-ready picture of where the portfolio stands.
For organisations that have completed a Compliance-by-Design engagement, the Retainer is the continuity layer. For organisations building their AI portfolio incrementally, it is the senior architectural voice that ensures every new system is governed from day one.
Your organisation is actively building and deploying AI systems — including vendor-supplied and team-deployed capabilities — and needs ongoing architectural oversight that keeps governance current across all six challenge areas as your portfolio and the regulatory landscape evolve.
Common questions
We use AI embedded in SaaS platforms and APIs. Are those in scope?
Yes — and they are often the most significant area of regulatory exposure. Under the EU AI Act and equivalent frameworks, your organisation carries obligations for AI you deploy regardless of whether you built it. The Review maps every AI system in your environment, including vendor-supplied and embedded capabilities, and establishes the controls required to satisfy those obligations.
Our AI systems are not built on Google Cloud. Can you still help?
The Architecture Review and the Governance Retainer are platform-agnostic — AI governance is an architectural question regardless of the underlying stack. The Compliance-by-Design engagement is delivered on Google Cloud and Vertex AI. If your systems are on a different platform, we discuss that on the discovery call and scope accordingly.
We are a GCP partner looking to bring in a senior architect for a client engagement. Is that something Data Domine does?
Working with boutique GCP partners in DACH and Benelux is a core part of how we engage. If you have won an enterprise engagement that requires a senior AI architect with deep regulatory and agentic AI architecture experience, that conversation is worth having. Reach out directly.
Do you work across jurisdictions beyond the EU?
Yes. Data Domine is a remote-first practice. We design to the EU AI Act as the architectural gold standard, which means the systems we deliver satisfy UK, Canadian, Singaporean, and US frameworks simultaneously. We work with enterprises and GCP partners across all jurisdictions where AI governance regulation is active or approaching.
How quickly can an engagement begin?
Architecture Reviews typically begin within one to two weeks of the discovery call. Compliance-by-Design engagements are scoped over one to two calls before a start date is agreed. Retainers usually begin within two weeks of agreement.
